When you’re travelling with your ATV, it’s a good idea to use a trailerable cover. It will keep your quad clean, safe, secure and weatherproof. This one from Moose Racing is very tough and heavy duty. It has strong nylon straps and four tie down locations to give extra security and to make sure it doesn’t rub badly from the flapping in the wind.
It’s made of tough waterproof 600 denier weather resistant vinyl backed UV-treated polyester. And it won’t fade, shrink, mildew or stretch. It also has a heavy-duty elastic shock cord in the hem. This cover is grey and available from standard to xx-large size.
I know you can get cheap covers at Walmart but they won’t do the job nearly as well. This is one of those things where you get what you pay for.

Although this Thor jersey comes in a variety of colors, I really like this light blue one. It’s bright and really stands out. The graphics have Thor’s logo proudly displayed prominently on the front just below the crew neck collar. At around $30, this is one of their more affordable and popular ones.
Phase jerseys are made from 100% polyester micromesh. That makes it more comfortable because there’s more air circulating around the body. That reduces the likelihood of it sticking to your sweaty body. Nobody likes that.
Comfortable, cheap and cool looking. This is a winner. What more could you want in an mx riding jersey?

These 08 range men’s mx riding pants are one of the latest products from O’Neal Racing, one of the best known motocross apparel brands.
Wearing specialized riding pants like these is better than only wearing jeans in several important ways. First, they’re more comfortable because they’re designed with the position of the rider taken into account. That way you won’t have the same trouble with tightness and binding you would with regular pants.
Also, O’Neal apocalypse pants give extra comfort with stretch panels at the rear that fit better and allow you to move more easily. The double stitching make these very tough and durable. Nylon inner leg panels will give you heat resistance when riding your ATV or dirt bike.

- Outside pant leg zippers give easy boot access
- Adjustable pant cuff will stop catching

I really like the look of the new 08 model KBC camo army style helmet. Being one of the top rated helmet makers, these guys sure know what they’re doing. That’s probably why KBC features their logo so prominently on the helmet and visor.
The shell is very tough, solvent resistant, and meets or exceeds both SNELL and DOT safety standards. It’s also full faced with a chin guard. So you can be sure that your head is getting the very best protection.
Several nice features will also make you more comfortable when riding. First, it has rear exhaust vents for your comfort to keep you cool. Next, the new multi positional visor design gives you better control over debris and the sun. Finally, the inner comfort liner can easily be removed and is fully washable. The sizes range from extra small to medium to extra large.

Count me in as a guy who prefers riding a quad using thumb throttles. That’s because when you ride on rough terrain using a twist throttle, its much easier to get into trouble. On rough ground when you hit ruts and bumps the force can make you twist and increase the throttle at the worst moment. That can be very dangerous. I’ve even heard people call twist throttles suicide throttles.
A thumb throttle on the other hand gives you more control riding the trails. The downside some people find is that their thumbs can get fatigued after a few hours of riding. Really, It’s a matter of preference, and depends on where and how you ride.
Moose Racing makes some good ones.
Features of the Moose Racing Thumb Throttle
- Machined from solid billet aluminum
- Interchangeable with stock thumb throttle cables
- Designed to easily open to a 44mm carburettor
- Colors: Black, Blue, Polish, Red
